These cabinets use a familiar cabinet/drawer/folder design, with a smooth flow from left to right. Cabinets automatically apply to regular Windows folders, allowing you to view your existing files in cabinets without needing to import them. You can also store any type of Windows file in a cabinet. (If you prefer the traditional Explorer design, FileCenter also offers an Explorer view).
Open and Save Any Type of File
FileCenter DMS can store any type of Windows file. It also integrates seamlessly with the save and open functions in most programs. This means you can (optionally) replace the standard Windows save/open dialogs with customized FileCenter versions. Save files directly into file cabinets from most of your programs as part of your usual workflow—no import needed. Then open them again from FileCenter in your favorite applications. This integration can be enabled/disabled for each program individually.
Save Files Using Predefined Naming Rules
The most complicated part of saving a file is now the easiest: choosing a name. Create a list of your common file names. Add dynamic information if you wish. When saving or renaming a file, name it with a mouse click. FileCenter DMS Professional and Pro Plus also add file naming rules known as "naming options." These can include dynamic information like dates, client or patient names, and increments. You can even pull file name text from barcodes or OCR text in the document. Name your files or new scans and save them literally with a few mouse clicks.

Manage Incoming Files with the Inbox.
If you receive a steady stream of files into a specific folder, FileCenter DMS offers a split view, with the inbox on top and regular file cabinets below. This makes it easy to move incoming files into your cabinets.
