Best Uninstallation Programs for Windows 10 and 11 in 2024

Our list here includes some of the most recommended and reliable uninstallation programs for Windows 11 and 10 in 2024. Let's take a look at them:

1. IObit Uninstaller

IObit Uninstaller

What We Like

  • Includes several ways to start the uninstallation process.
  • Allows bulk removal of programs, one by one.
  • Monitors installations for easier removal.
  • Identifies bundles.

What We Don't Like

  • While you can see which programs were installed as a bundle, you can't remove them all at once.
  • The program may attempt to install other software during setup.
  • Displays ads.

Our Review of IObit Uninstaller

IObit Uninstaller is my go-to application for deleting programs. There's so much you can do with it, including some tasks not supported by the built-in Windows app remover, as well as finding rarely used programs and removing them, uninstalling browser toolbars and plugins, and even identifying programs that can be updated to a newer version.

In my opinion, the best feature of IObit Uninstaller, which I use frequently, is that you can right-click on any program on your desktop and choose to remove it using this tool without having to find the program's uninstaller yourself.

After deleting a program, you can have the program scan the registry and file system for leftover data that the installer may have missed, which is a great way to keep your computer organized. This also applies if you uninstall a program without using IObit Uninstaller; it will still prompt you to remove those leftover items.

IObit Uninstaller can also create a system restore point before making any changes, includes a file shredder tool, can force uninstall programs, supports batch uninstallations, removes bundled programs, and includes other useful tools as well.

It works on Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP.

2. Geek Uninstaller

Geek Uninstaller

What We Like

  • No installation required (portable).
  • Allows you to sort the program list by size.
  • Easy to remove stubborn programs.

What We Don't Like

  • The free version does not support batch uninstallations.

Our Review of Geek Uninstaller

Geek Uninstaller has been my favorite for a while. I like that you can run it after downloading it without installing it. It has excellent features, all in a file under 10 megabytes!

It can sort programs by size or installation date, delete entries from the program list, search for programs, export the list of installed programs to an HTML file, and search for information about any program in the registry editor, installation folder, or online.

This tool removes desktop applications and Microsoft Store apps. You can also forcefully remove a program by deleting any reference in the registry and file system.

Some features, like batch uninstallations, unfortunately only work in the professional version.

It works with Windows 11, but it also uninstalls programs on Windows 10, 8, and 7.

3. Bulk Crap Uninstaller

What We Like

  • Suitable for advanced users.
  • The program is portable, so installation is unnecessary.

What We Don't Like

  • Relatively harder to use than most similar tools.
  • The silent removal process doesn't always work.

Our Review of Bulk Crap Uninstaller

Bulk Crap Uninstaller is an advanced uninstallation tool. I don't recommend using it if you're looking for easy options, but I do recommend it if you want a lot of control over how your programs work.

In addition to its ability to clean up leftover files, perform forced uninstallations, and detect portable applications, it has these advanced and rare features that I want to mention: silent uninstallations, preventing system shutdown during the uninstallation process, creating a restore point, and batch removal (without limits).

There’s also a startup manager and a disk cleanup shortcut, along with some other Windows tools.

This application works with Windows 11 and also on Windows 10, 8, 7, and older versions, and you can use it in both personal and commercial settings.

4. PC Decrapifier

What We Like

  • Allows bulk removal of programs.
  • Lets you create a restore point before uninstalling a program.
  • Can automatically uninstall most programs.
  • Portable application.

What We Don't Like

  • Does not allow you to search for a program from the list.
  • No filtering options (e.g., size or name filter).
  • Cannot uninstall programs directly from File Explorer.
  • Support has been discontinued.

Our Review of PC Decrapifier

PC Decrapifier takes up less than 2 megabytes and supports batch uninstallations. It can be run without installation, making it a great option if you want to keep troubleshooting tools on a USB drive.

It's a good choice for inexperienced users because it provides an easy-to-follow wizard that guides you through the entire process, which includes selecting what you want to remove and creating a restore point before deleting anything.

Some programs can be uninstalled automatically and very quickly, without any prompts.

Unfortunately, there’s no way to filter or search the program list.

PC Decrapifier works well with Windows 11, 10, 8, 7, and older versions.

5. Wise Program Uninstaller

Wise Program Uninstaller

What We Like

  • Has a clean and modern user interface.
  • Includes a way to delete programs that failed to uninstall by other means.
  • Helps you identify programs you may want to remove.

What We Don't Like

  • Ads are displayed occasionally.
  • Does not allow you to restore from a backup in case of a problem during the uninstallation process.

Our Review of Wise Program Uninstaller

Wise Program Uninstaller supports removing programs via right-clicking the list in File Explorer.

After deleting an application, it will automatically scan your computer for any leftover registry entries or files.

The Forced Uninstall option is a standout feature as it can force the removal of a program if you've already tried using the program's regular uninstaller but couldn't remove it properly.

This uninstaller can also remove program entries from the installed programs list, instantly search through all programs, sort by installation date or size, and delete programs in batches, even including embedded reviews provided by other users.

It works with Windows 11 and Windows 10, as well as Windows 8, 7, and Vista, but Windows XP users should use the portable version.
