Downloading videos is extremely straightforward. The program gives you quality options, such as MP4 1080 Full HD or MP4 720 HD. The highest available quality will be downloaded according to your specifications. If the video is in 720p, you will get 720p even if you selected 1080p. If you selected 720p and the video is 1080p, Ummy will downgrade the quality, which may result in a smaller file size.
Ummy can also extract and download audio. This is convenient because sometimes you just want the song and not the entire music video. Note that Ummy does not extract audio after the fact. Instead, it pulls the audio from the video playback and writes it to an MP3 file.
Ummy does not support conversion after downloading to MP4 or MP3 unless these are the default formats. MP4 and MP3 are widely used formats, so this may not be a significant issue, but if you need a different format, you will have to use a third-party conversion tool.
