Crack360 Total Security
Total Security has been updated to the latest version: Total Security
Qihoo 360, a Chinese company, introduced Total Security to the world in 2014. This isn't your typical antivirus software; it's a combination of a maintenance optimization tool that also features a decent antivirus. With it, you get protection against malware, phishing, and ransomware. One of Total Security 360's major selling points is that it includes Bitdefender and Avira engines, and you can easily switch between them.
Qihoo 360, the largest and most successful cybersecurity company in the country, is poised to become even more influential. Established in 2005, it is now a leading antivirus solution in China. Advanced cyber warfare attacks are Qihoo's main focus for 2019-2020. Earlier this year, when tensions between China and the US escalated into a tech war, the company decided it was time to act.
According to the tech giant's CEO, they have developed an "online radar system" that has already detected over 40 attacks from other countries. It's important to note that in 2018, Qihoo 360 left the US stock market and returned to China. Despite previous lawsuits, bloatware controversies, and average performance, 360 is now a leading player in the industry.
The list of additional tools includes keylogger blocking, sandbox, webcam protection, and more. As for optimization tools, they are relatively good at enhancing overall OS performance and freeing up hard drives. Total Security is a free service, which is one reason for its popularity these days. Qihoo 360 also offers a premium version for $14.99 that includes more tools and features than the free TS.
However, despite these significant advantages, TS is still not as impressive as the free versions of Avast, Kaspersky, and AVG. In third-party lab tests, it lags behind leaders (including Avira and Bitdefender). For users seeking the best antivirus software and who don't care about maintenance, Total Security isn't the best choice. In this review, we'll discuss real-world tests in more detail, talk about the maintenance suite, and go over every pro and con.

360 Total Security Pros Review
Comprehensive Security Features with Bitdefender and Avira Engines
That's right: Qihoo found a way to include antivirus engines from both leading services in 360 Total Security. You can easily switch between them in the scan menu—it takes just a few clicks to get there. Unfortunately, neither engine matches the quality of the standalone "original" versions of Bitdefender and Avira, which perform better in real-world tests.
On the bright side, you can also choose a cloud-based engine that uses a completely different approach when dealing with malware. The ability to use multiple engines to check your OS is very appealing, as it significantly increases the chance of Total Security detecting and eliminating a wide range of threats.
Efficient and Thorough Scans
For scans, you have the option between full scans (available from the main menu), quick scans, and even scheduled scans. While the quick scan goes through the most important (and vulnerable) sections of the OS in under three minutes, the full scan takes an hour to complete. However, it is very thorough and checks all files and folders on the user's computer.
Custom scans do exactly what the name suggests: they allow you to set up custom checks and choose which drives/folders/files/apps should be scanned. And don't forget that Total Security comes with three engines, including the Cloud, Bitdefender, and Avira engines. It would be wise to perform scans with all three engines once a month to ensure the OS is safe and sound.
Effective Optimization Tools
Can you see the cleanup icon on the dashboard, down in the left corner? All you have to do to access it is click on it once; then, hit the "Scan" button—Total Security will automatically start scanning for junk files/plugins. While it won't work miracles, the positive impact on performance can be quite significant. This is especially true for older operating systems you've been using for two years or more.
Acceleration is also very helpful: it is located right above Cleanup in the main menu. It's as simple as all the other tools in 360; click the optimize button and let it do its best to enhance performance. Together, Total Security tuning tools will be a good routine to run once every few months. Compared to competing products, they are well above average.
Some of the Most Effective Tools Aren't Available with 360 Free
In the pros, we mentioned that Total Security offers a generous set of useful tools. However, some of the most effective ones come only as part of the premium version. We'll go over each additional tool in the extra features section. For now, it's important to emphasize that the entry-level functionality is still quite decent and on par with most competitors in the market.
However, we consider this a downside, as leading maintenance tools in the market offer more free features. Additionally, compared to competitors, most free tools are weak and won't be effective.
Full Scans Have a Significant Negative Impact on Performance
While working in the background and running drives and folders in normal mode, 360 has a light impact on the system. But when performing scans, especially full scans, the strain on the system's CPU, RAM, and hard drive increases significantly. This is particularly true for the Avira and Bitdefender engines. Even if you have a modern computer, we advise against running any heavy applications when there's an active scan.
Lab Scores
Now, let's take a quick look at 360 Total Security's performance in various real-world tests. We've carefully examined tests conducted by several leading third parties and are pleased to share the results with you.
AV-Comparatives, one of the most renowned independent testers, awarded the Advanced+ rating in 2014 for real-world protection. In the performance test, it received only two out of three stars.
AV-Test, a similarly respected company, examined Total Security's capabilities in 2017. At that time, it scored 5.5/6 in performance, 3.5/6 in usability, and 4/6 in protection (1/6 with the default engine). Yes, the results were below average, and the product hasn't improved significantly over the past two years. An interesting fact: during 2013-2014, Qihoo's solutions managed to deliver much better performance.
In the same year (2017), SElabs tested 13 antivirus products from different companies. Total Security's accuracy was 95% and its protection accuracy was 27% (with a total of 70%). This placed it last on the list, while Norton and Kaspersky took the top spots.
360 Total Security Extra Features
We've already discussed the tools and features available with the free versions of Total Security. Here, we'll cover all the extras that come with TS Premium—the paid version. Overall, users get seven new tools, and while they may not be necessary for most people, they still offer decent value. One more thing: with Premium, there are no regular pop-up ads.
Desktop Organizer
This assistant is an excellent tool for organizing your desktop without spending hours on it. Task lists, shortcuts, and advanced file search—this is what you can expect the Desktop Organizer to help you with. If a cluttered desktop with lots of files, folders, and apps sounds familiar, you might want to give it a try. Once you let this tool take care of your desktop, everything will start to look better.
All the different items on the desktop will be categorized according to their type. It also allows you to create your own 'boxes' and put multiple files/folders/apps in them. There's even a task list feature that works just like the real thing, only on your computer. Finally, Screen Lock will lock your PC and prevent any prying eyes from peeking at your personal data.
Data Shredder
There's nothing unusual about this tool. Just like all other shredders, it has one task only—to permanently delete whatever you want gone. It's known that files/folders deleted through standard Windows/Mac/Android tools can be recovered by people with the right set of tools and knowledge. With the Data Shredder, you can rest assured that no one will ever be able to retrieve what you've erased.
Privacy Cleaner
You might not know this, but everything you do on your computer leaves 'footprints' that can be easily traced. The list includes recent activities, browser history, system settings—all of it. Privacy Cleaner can get rid of all these traces with a single click.
Disk Analyzer
This is like a more advanced version of the standard Windows tool. With it, you can quickly see which files are taking up the most space on your hard drives and get rid of unwanted files. Disk Analyzer sorts everything by size, meaning the largest files will be at the top.
Driver Updater
DU does exactly what the name suggests—it looks for the latest drivers for the applications installed on your PC and updates them. When there are dozens of apps on the device, it's hard to keep track of everything, including new updates. Moreover, Driver Updater always keeps the original versions of the drivers so you can restore everything to how it was before.
