What is KMSAuto Server?

It is not necessary for your computer to be a domain member to successfully activate KMS-supported activation.

To avoid any issues, you should exclude TCP port 1688 associated with KMS from the Windows Firewall protection range. You can do this either on the KMS server or on the firewall in front of the KMS server within your network.

The specific product key you use to activate MS products on a specific KMS server will activate all sub-versions of that product key. For example, if you installed the KMS service on Server 2012 using a specific product key, you can now use that product key to unlock all exploits.

To activate Office Suite components, several additional steps are required to complete the process.

After installing the KMS server file on your computer, the server will mimic activities as if different computers within the network are sending activation requests. These numbers will include 25 Windows clients, 5 Windows Servers, 5 Office, etc. KMS activation will not be deployed on the server until 5 different servers are provided. Each product has its unique activation state.

The license duration you receive through KMS is only 180 days. However, it is possible to renew the activation period by connecting to the KMS server every 7 days.

Whenever you install the operating system for the first time, the operating system will attempt to automatically activate with the KMS server during the first three days. If the system fails to activate automatically, you must follow the provided instructions and perform the manual activation process.

You should not change the date and time set on your computer after completing the activation process via the KMS server.
