Kali Linux (formerly BackTrack) includes a wide range of tools and utilities for hacking (password attacks, sniffing and spoofing, reverse engineering, etc.). It is designed for digital forensics and penetration testing, allowing you to hack into foreign WiFi/WLAN networks (wireless attacks) and much more.

Kali comes pre-installed with numerous penetration testing programs, including nmap (a port scanner), Wireshark (a packet analyzer), John the Ripper (a password cracking tool), and Aircrack-ng (a suite for penetration testing and wireless local area networks). Kali can be run from a hard disk, live DVD, or live USB.
