Features of Adobe Illustrator CC 2019 Free Download
Here are some fantastic features you can experience after installing the free download of Adobe Illustrator CC 2019. Please note that features may vary and depend entirely on whether your system supports them.
Freeform Gradient:
Illustrator now offers a new type of gradient called Freeform, which provides new color blending capabilities to create richer and more realistic gradients that look more natural. The Freeform gradient gives you the flexibility to create color stops anywhere on your object. You can add, move, and change the color of the color stops to apply gradients smoothly to objects. Creating a freeform gradient fill is a simple and effective way to create a seamless gradient.
The Freeform gradient type can be applied in two modes:
Points: Use this mode to create color stops as independent points on the object.
Lines: Use this mode to create color stops along a line segment on the object.
Global Edit:
Illustrator now offers a new Global Edit option, allowing you to edit all similar objects in one step. This feature is useful in situations where there are multiple copies of an object, such as a logo, in documents. Editing all these objects manually one by one can be a daunting and time-consuming task, and it may lead to errors. The Global Edit option helps you edit them globally in a simple and easy way. You can also use this option to edit similar groups.
Visual Font Browsing:
The Character panel now includes the following new and improved options:
A new Find More tab allows you to browse thousands of fonts from hundreds of type creators from within Illustrator, activate them instantly, and use them in your artwork. Active fonts are available for use across all Creative Cloud applications.
More options for sample text are now available in the dropdown menu. You can also select text on the artboard to use as sample text. You can control the sample text size by selecting sample text size options.
The options "Show Similar Fonts" and "Add to Favorites" are now built-in for each font. They appear when you hover over a font.
The font classification filter is now a dropdown list displaying a sample of font types, rather than just the font type name.
A newly added application filter allows you to filter all fonts added in the last 30 days.
Customizable Toolbar:
Illustrator now provides two toolbars - Basic and Advanced. The Basic toolbar contains a set of commonly used tools while creating illustrations. All other tools are available in the toolbar drawer, which you can open by clicking the Edit Toolbar (...) button at the bottom of the toolbar.
The Advanced toolbar is a full toolbar that you can open by selecting Windows Toolbars Advanced or choosing Advanced from the drawer dropdown.
You can also create your own custom toolbars. In any toolbar, you can add, remove, group, or rearrange tools according to your requirements.

Presentation Mode:
You can now view the current Illustrator document in full-screen presentation mode. In this mode, the application menu, panels, guides, grids, and selections are hidden. It is a non-editable mode where you can only view and navigate the artboards using the arrow keys. Use this mode to present your design ideas.
Trim View:
Illustrator now offers a new view mode called Trim View, which is useful for previewing how the design will look without guides, grids, or elements extending beyond the edge of the artboard. In this mode, any artwork that falls outside the artboard is trimmed, and all non-printing objects on the canvas, such as grids and guides, are hidden. You can continue to create and edit your artwork in this mode.
Scalable User Interface:
You can now resize the Illustrator user interface based on your screen resolution. When you launch Illustrator with updated preferences, it detects the screen resolution and adjusts the application scaling factor accordingly. You can measure the user interface on your screen using the User Interface Preferences dialog.
Faster Zoom:
The overall zoom performance in Illustrator has been significantly improved. For complex artwork, temporary bitmap data is now used to enable a faster zoom and pan experience.
Content-Aware Crop:
(Available only on Windows 64-bit and macOS) When selecting the Crop Image option to crop an image on the artboard, Illustrator now identifies the visually important parts of the selected image. A default cropping box is then displayed based on this selected part of the image. You can adjust the dimensions of this cropping box if needed. Once finished, you can click Apply in the Properties panel or press Enter (Windows) or Return (macOS) to crop the image.
Actual Size Preview:
When you choose to view at actual size, Illustrator now sets the actual size of display elements regardless of screen size and resolution. When zooming to 100% on a document, the size of each object in the document is the actual physical size representation of the object. For example, if you open a new A4-sized artboard and click on actual size, the artboard will resize to the actual A4 paper size.
Improved Puppet Warp:
Illustrator now automatically identifies the best areas to transform your artwork and adds pins to the artwork. You can also add or remove pins if you wish. This feature is enabled by default when selecting the Puppet Warp tool. To disable this feature, uncheck the Enable Content Aware Defaults option by choosing Edit Preferences General.
Welcome Screen:
When you launch Illustrator, it now displays a welcome screen that includes:
A large collection of tutorials to help you quickly learn and understand concepts, workflows, tips, and tricks.
Common presets to quickly start new documents.
View and access your recent documents.
A New Create button to create a new document and an Open button to open an existing document.
The contents of the welcome screen are designed based on your familiarity with Illustrator and your Creative Cloud membership plan.

Enhanced Properties Panel
The Properties panel now includes the following new controls:
Variable font options.
Delete icon for individual effects.
Display profile option to set display profiles.
Corner option to change the curvature of anchor points.
Blend option for blending objects.
Live Paint Merge button for merging Live Paint groups.
Dynamic Zoom in Outline Mode:
In previous versions of Illustrator, when you viewed your artwork as outlines or paths, Illustrator automatically switched from GPU Preview mode to CPU Preview mode.
Now, GPU Outline mode is enabled. Viewing artwork in GPU Outline mode displays smoother paths and reduces the time taken to redraw complex artwork on high-density displays.
Licensed Stock Images:
You can now search for an image in the Libraries panel and submit a request for a licensed copy of the image. Select the image and do the following:
In the Libraries panel, type a search string for the image in the Adobe Stock search box.
In the search results, if you hover over the selected image, the license and save icon will appear in downloads. Click this icon to obtain the licensed copy of the image.
Support for Southeast Asian Scripts:
Illustrator now includes support for five new languages in Southeast Asia, so your documents can include text written in these scripts: Thai, Burmese, Lao, Sinhalese, Khmer.
