Selecting and interacting with colors is more efficient in Painter 2023 with better grips on the color wheel that make it easier to see and set colors in the Hue Ring and Saturation/Value Triangle. The temporary color palette is now a color picker, and you can pin it and move it anywhere on the canvas.

The color swatch displays the current color, making it easy to quickly find complementary colors by placing the palette over existing colors on the canvas. It's easy to resize and move, and you can toggle it on or off using a keyboard shortcut. Moreover, when you reopen the temporary color palette, it appears in the last position you opened it.

In short, Painter 2023 continues to set the standard, but it's becoming increasingly difficult for Corel to innovate. Sometimes, a product can't be improved further without a complete overhaul. I think Painter has reached that point.
