Quickly discover lost or corrupted image files, then recover them to a safe location, copy them to a disk, or upload them via FTP.
Magic Photo Recovery is a comprehensive application optimized for photo recovery. The tool can recover images from local drives, as well as from removable media, disk images, or deleted partitions. Additionally, the application offers several options for saving files after recovery.
Select the Recovery Source
The first screen in Portable Magic Photo Recovery is dedicated to selecting the location you want to analyze for lost or corrupted files. Thus, the program can easily scan local drives and removable USB drives, all of which are detected and displayed in the interface. Alternatively, you can recover images from deleted partitions.
The program can identify lost partitions on the selected disk and supports analyzing file systems such as FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, or NTFS. The algorithm can be used to scan the entire disk or just specific sectors.
Alternatively, in the event of a disaster, system damage, or a virus attack, you can use a previously created disk image that still contains the original files. If you have this image, the program allows you to mount it and use it to extract the desired images.
Scan Types and File Filtering
Portable Magic Photo Recovery supports two types of drive assessment: a quick scan, which is a solution for recovering recently deleted files, and a full analysis. The latter is a powerful option designed to search for any available information and recover any relevant files.
For faster operations, you can create file filters and recover only those images that match the desired size, date (creation/modification/last access), and type. The program recognizes many file formats, including vectors, compressed images, workspace files (.PSD and .PSP), Targa graphics, and RAW types.
Preview and Save Items
The Portable Magic Photo Recovery program can display thumbnail images of the files while the recovery process is ongoing. It also provides a more detailed preview once the scan is complete, allowing you to select the files you wish to save. The results can be exported to the hard drive, sent to a CD/DVD, included in a virtual ISO image, or uploaded to a remote location via FTP.
