DxO ViewPoint is a software tool designed to correct distortions that may occur when taking photos. The installation process is fairly standard, and once completed, you'll encounter a modern and intuitive user interface. This means that both experienced users and beginners can work with it without any issues.
In addition to that, it consists of a menu bar, a few shortcut buttons, a toolbar, and a panel for displaying the uploaded image. This software can only open and save files in JPG or TIFF format. The lack of support for additional file types is considered a drawback.
DxO ViewPoint integrates an automatic optical distortion correction feature, allowing you to fix images more easily. To take advantage of this option, you need to upload the original image file, as the tool extracts shooting parameters from the EXIF data.
It is possible to reverse fisheye effects, correct size and perspective distortions, as well as fix issues related to horizontal and vertical levels. Additionally, you can rotate images, zoom in and out, undo and redo actions, display a grid overlay, and switch between side-by-side and one-behind-the-other views (original and modified images).
From the settings panel, you can change the language, background color, and grid size, and you can choose to show or hide image resolution and check for updates every 24 hours.
