System Requirements:
- Android 2.1
- ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE
- ACCESS_WIFI_STATE, also known as Wi-Fi connection information. AIDA64 requires this permission to display Wi-Fi network information such as signal strength and SSID.
- Internet
- Camera. AIDA64 requires this permission to show camera information like image resolution. AIDA64 does not take any photos or videos.
- On Android 2.1 to 4.3: READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, also known as pictures/media/files. AIDA64 requires this permission to detect external storage and free space (SD card). Note: Due to a bug in the Play Store, even on newer Android versions, the Play Store may incorrectly request this permission, although AIDA64 does not need or use it. After installing the app, you can check the permissions actually used in Android Settings / Apps / AIDA64, and you will see that this permission is not used by AIDA64.
Known Issues:
- The screen size calculation may show an incorrect value if the manufacturer has encoded incorrect xdpi and ydpi values in the device's Android profile. If you find the screen size to be incorrect, please send a device report from the "About" page, and we will work on fixing it in the next AIDA64 update.
- Camera capabilities may display incorrect information if the manufacturer has encoded wrong values in the device's Android profile. If you find incorrectly reported information on the device page, please send a device report from the "About" page, and we will work on fixing it in the next AIDA64 update.
- Battery capacity can only be reported for factory default batteries. If the battery has been replaced with one of extended capacity, neither Android nor AIDA64 will be able to detect the new capacity.
- The battery charging rate may be reported incorrectly if the phone or tablet does not properly support the new battery API calls introduced in Android 5.0. Even new Android devices released in 2015 that come with Android 5.0+ may not fully support them (for example: the Galaxy S6 does not fully support the new APIs).
